Austrian tourism may reborn in 2022, according to Wifo
This year’s tourism turnover could be two-thirds of the last year not affected by the epidemic, 2019 in Austria, and could reach the usual level in 2022 at the earliest, according to an analysis published on Wednesday by the Wifo Economic Research Institute in Vienna.
Wifo showed a 90 percent drop in traffic in its pre-season for the 2020/21 winter tourism season in its survey, and predicts an 83 percent drop for the entire season. (MTI)
