Inland water damages the autumn crops
The inland water damages 30-40 percent of the autumn crops (wheat, barley and canola) in Békés county – Barabás Béla, secretary of the Békés County Farmers' Federation told MTI on Wednesday.
However, the damage may be even larger if the water remains in rural areas. Barabás Béla reminded that the damages are not yet significant on national level. He recalled that last year the inland water situation was also a major problem in the county but the summer was too dry. (MTI)
