According to experts, autumn brings new food price increases
Hungarian households cannot expect much good from this fall. Dávid Németh, the chief economist of Aa K&H Bank, talked about the possibility of further food price increases in the Spirit FM program Aktuál.
“The analysts already warned in the spring that the autumn period will be very difficult. The situation is complicated by the fact that the interest rate environment is rising, so loans will become more and more expensive”
– reminded Dávid Németh.
He added: if by some miracle the prices of gas, electricity and crude oil do not start to fall drastically on the world market, then the price of these products will have to be raised, which in turn will take resources away from families.
“Unfortunately, the black soup is still coming, which we will feel more and more every day, and we can’t even say that we are over the food shock, because even there, new waves are expected”
– the expert pointed out.
