Set wood, not others! The Fruit Day is organized in March and April in several parts of the country in connection with the Hungarian Fruit Landscape Day; Anyone at the events can get to know the practice of vaccination – the event communication company informed MTI on Friday.

The tradition of fruit vaccination carries generations of knowledge that is worth preserving and passing on. This is what the Hungarian Society of Environment and Rural Development and the Institute of Climate Policy call attention to the tree that matches the Hungarian Fruit Landscape Day, not others! At the initiative of the Hungarian Society of Environment and Rural Development and the MCC Institute of Climate Policy, the Ministry of Agriculture launched the Hungarian Fruit Landscape Day in 2024. The preservation of Hungarian varieties naturally contributes to sustainable agriculture and the improvement of food safety, they point out. Currently, about 80 state -recognized fruits are considered to be in Hungary. Some old varieties are widespread, others have been completely excluded from cultivation, and the state and volunteers will take part in their preservation, according to the release.
