FruitVeB calls to start the irrigation season sooner
The extraordinary drought in the Southern Great Plain makes it impossible to sow and grow on thousands of hectares – according to FruitVeB’s press release.
The sowing of green peas, poppy, oil radish, spinach begins in the days, but the onions and root vegetables are soon to be sown. There is no chance that the seeds that have come into the ground will hatch without the irrigation. Since the irrigation season is only officially launched on April 15, most water companies are not willing or able to provide irrigation water without support. (OS)
