Online shoppers prefer pick-up points
The first pick-up points were created in 2010 as an ‘extension’ of Hungary’s e-commerce market and by today they have become the most popular way of delivering goods purchased online – reveals the latest GFK Digital survey. In 2013 pick-up points’ turnover was 1.3 million parcels. Three quarters of this volume was picked-up at Pick Pack Pont locations. Estimation is that in 2014 parcel turnover will grow to at least 1.5 million and every third online purchase involving personally received goods will be collected at pick-up points. Pick-up points’ popularity has been growing rapidly since their appearance because this way goods delivery was cheaper than by courier service. Today 77 percent of customers prefer these places because they are a more convenient and flexible delivery solution.
