Inflation has accelerated in OECD countries
In the countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), consumer prices rose by an average of 9.2 percent year-on-year in April from 8.8 percent a month earlier. Inflation was 3.3 percent last April.
In April this year, double-digit inflation was recorded in nine OECD countries, with Turkey and Estonia having the highest growth rates. However, inflation has slowed in five countries, including Italy, Spain and the United States. (MTI)
