MKIK helps businesses prepare for cybersecurity at events
The national “Cybersecurity safety net for the SME sector” event series has been launched. The aim of the program is to prepare for the NIS2 audit in cooperation with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) and the Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities (SZTFH), MKIK told MTI on Tuesday.
The NIS2 audit is mandatory for companies operating critical infrastructure in accordance with the EU Cybersecurity Directive to ensure the protection of their systems and their resilience against cyber threats.
According to the information, the event series responds to the emergency situation caused by the digital transition and the increase in cyber threats, which particularly affects SMEs.
It was highlighted that the project’s multiple pillars, the planned free vulnerability assessment tool (SecureBot), the automatic alert system, the competence development content and the legal assistance offer comprehensive protection and support.
The opening stop of the series was the general-themed workshop in Budapest, which will be followed by further regional and thematic events in seven other cities. General events will also be held in Debrecen, Miskolc, Győr, Szeged and Nyíregyháza, while automotive supplier events will be held in Veszprém, and food industry events in Kecskemét. The event for the smallest, “borderline” companies and the closing workshop of the program series will also be held in Budapest, MKIK informed.
