LG’s new server robot – Video of the day
LG Electronics (LG) presented its latest intelligent server robot. The CLOi ServeBot (model LDLTR30) is suitable for any service activity, including restaurant serving. The fast and stable, self-controlled robot with a new design moves smoothly on various types of floor coverings, and in addition to serving, it is also capable of guiding guests around the room with its instructions, so employees have more time for more important tasks.
The orientation of the LG CLOi ServeBot is assisted by a 3D camera and a laser-based remote sensing (LiDAR) system, thanks to which the CLOi ServeBot safely delivers drinks and food – including soups – even when it is driving on sloping surfaces. It has four easily accessible 53 x 43 cm shelves, one of which can also be used as a drawer. These shelves are all removable and can be conveniently moved up or down. In addition, there are pockets, cup holders and a lower drawer on the device, where you can place napkins and cutlery, for example. The robot can transport a total weight of up to 40 kilograms.
