The price of L-sized eggs decreased the most
According to AKI PÁIR data, the packing house price of caged table eggs (M+L) in Hungary was 49.47 forints/piece in the first forty-seven weeks of 2024, which was 14.6 percent lower than the average price in the same period of 2023.

The packing house price of M-sized boxed eggs decreased by 12.8 percent to 51.88 forints/piece, and that of L-sized boxed eggs decreased by 12.5 percent to 61.78 forints/piece. The packing house price of M-sized trayed eggs decreased by 16.8 percent to 44.43 forints/piece, and that of L-sized trayed eggs decreased by 17.5 percent to 48.57 forints/piece. The packinghouse price of table eggs (M+L) from deep-litter farming was 58.01 forints/piece in the first forty-seven weeks of 2024, which is 10.6 percent lower than the average price for the same period in 2023.
