The Irsai Olivér became the pálinka of the year
This year’s best pálinka became the 2009 year vintage Irsai Olivér grape pálinka of the Brill Pálinkaház. The distillate was placed in the Agricultural Museum of Budapest, to preserve for posterity in the scope of a ceremony yesterday.
The pálinka won the first prize at the 18th Hungarian National and International Fruit Spirits Competition. Font Sándor, chairman of the agriculture committee of the National Assembly said at the ceremony: the authorization of home made pálinka distilling did not throw back the demand, even more increased it – reports Világgazdaság Online.
