In August 2025, industrial producer prices exceeded the previous year’s average by 2.3 percent. Domestic sales prices increased by 0.9 percent and export sales prices by 3.0 percent compared to the previous August values, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.

Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices decreased by 0.5 percent and export sales prices by 1.0 percent, so industrial producer prices decreased by 0.8 percent overall.

Compared to August 2024, producer prices were 1.9 percent higher in the manufacturing industry, which accounts for 62.7 percent, while they were 1.1 percent lower in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) which accounts for 35.4 percent. Food industry sales prices increased by 6.8 percent.

Among the groups of sectors by purpose, domestically, prices fell by 0.5 percent in the energy and secondary consumption sectors, while prices rose by 2.2 percent in the capital goods sector and 5.7 percent in the consumer goods sector.

Industrial export sales prices were 3.0 percent higher, including a 2.4 percent increase in the manufacturing sector, which accounts for 91.8 percent, and a 3.8 percent decrease in the energy sector, which accounts for 8.0 percent.

In January-August, domestic sales prices were 3.7 percent higher and export sales prices were 7.7 percent higher, thus industrial producer prices.
