IoT is the key to business success – even during a pandemic

Vodafone Business has published an IoT Spotlight report involving nearly 1,700 businesses globally, examining how different IoT (Internet of Things) solutions affect the way businesses operate. This year’s report is interesting for the period under review, as the pandemic is putting businesses to the test more than ever before, and it has also clearly highlighted the need for digitalisation, including IoT solutions.

With more than 100 million IoT connections, Vodafone is a world leader in IoT solutions. As part of the IoT Spotlight *, formerly the IoT Barometer survey, the company examines how companies view the use of IoT solutions year after year. This year’s report globally presents the responses of some 1,639 businesses, exploring how IoT can be applied and how it helps them prepare for the future. Although IoT technology is used in a wide variety of fields, from healthcare to transportation to industry, research has found that the use of IoT solutions, regardless of size and sector, has an impact on business success.
