Intersnack Hungary Ltd. implemented a capacity expansion of 8 billion forints
Intersnack Hungary Ltd. handed over an eight billion forint capacity-increasing investment, implemented by its own efforts, at its Győr plant on Thursday.
Dénes Lukács, the company’s managing director, said that with the investment, oven-baked chips, which contain 70 percent less fat than traditional products, will now be available here.
The product will be introduced not only in Hungary but also in 15 other European countries this year, and plans are to expand their export market to a similar extent next year,
he said.
He highlighted that with the investment, they have increased their annual capacity by 25 percent. They produce 10 tons of the new product daily, and this year, 2,300 tons.
He recalled that while the company had twenty employees when it was founded in 1992, the number of employees has now exceeded three hundred.
Dénes Lukács also spoke about the fact that they would like to cooperate with vocational training centers in the future in order to find out what training and support opportunities they can offer in order to have as many talented young employees as possible.
Zsolt György Papp, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture, highlighted that Intersnack Hungary Ltd. is responding to the market with its new product. The new production line is also important for agricultural suppliers, because they see Intersnack as a reliable partner. Hungarian agriculture, the processing industry and the food industry have a present and a future, he emphasized.
