Lady Gaga and Intel are working on a mysterious creative project that's coming next month
Much of Intel's presentation today was focused on cool things other people are doing with its technology, and the most mysterious example was a partnership with part-time Grammy Award-winning artist (and former Polaroid creative director) Lady Gaga. Its part of a multi-year deal with The Recording Academy, the body behind the Grammys, and is set to launch during the week of the Grammys broadcast next month. But what will it actually be? That's apparently being kept under wraps for now. In a foreboding teaser shown during the keynote Lady Gaga intoned “With the arsenal of the world's leading technology at my fingertips, I now have the ability to invent the un-inventable.”
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that the “ground-breaking collaboration” — Intel's words — is most definitely going to be inventable despite the hype. I'm also going to guess that it won't be tied into her vampiric character from this season of American Horror Story, which is a shame because I'm already in AHS withdrawals even though the show has a couple of episodes left to go this season. Given that Gaga's creative production team, Haus of Gaga, is involved, it's very likely going to be an audio-visual performance piece with a distinct technological slant. Either way, we'll find out when the mysterious project starts rolling out in February, with everything culminating in a performance at The Grammys on February 15th.
