In order to break inflation, Judit Varga and Márton Nagy discussed consumer protection measures
In order to break inflation, Judit Varga and Márton Nagy discussed consumer protection measures, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Economic Development announced on Tuesday.
It was highlighted in the joint press release of the two ministries: the war and the failed Brussels sanctions caused an energy crisis and sanctioned inflation across Europe. They added that in order to protect families and the economy, the government has already decided on 20 measures in order to break down and reduce the rate of inflation to single digits throughout the year. As part of these measures, he introduced, among other things, the interest rate cap, the food price cap, and protected utility reduction up to the level of average consumption.
“The vaccine against sanctioned inflation is working, as expected by the government, it already peaked in January, and after that it started to decrease”
– says the statement.
