InBev Seeks to Replace Anheuser – Busch Board
The world's second largest brewer by volume, said it wants to provide shareholders with an opportunity to have a direct voice in its proposed takeover of Anheuser-Busch.
Belgian
brewer InBev will seek to remove and replace the board of
Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc to get a $46.3 billion bid for its U.S. rival
considered.
The company
"will file a preliminary consent solicitation statement with the
United States Securities and Exchange Commission seeking to remove
each member of the board of directors of Anheuser-Busch Companies,"
it said. At the same time, InBev announced its own proposed board.
