Hungarian pig breeders cannot compete with the cheap Dutch import
According to the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperators and Producers; the pig breeders are in critical siztuation. They cannot compete with the cheap Dutch imports and do not receive market protection
Zsótér László, chairman of the Board stressed that the pig purchase price decreased by 40 HUF per kilogram in four weeks from 340 HUF to 300 HUF, while the feed prices are increasing significantly. According to the datas of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperators and Producers; the producer price of cereals are 70 to 90 percent higher, than one year ago – reports Népszabadság Online.
