A seventh of the imports would be replaced by the capacity of the Alföld Milk’s new cheese factory in Debrecen
The cheese and powder factory of the Alföldi Tej Kft. was handed over in Debrecen, with a budget of 15 billion HUF. The cheese factory has an annual capacity of 8000 tons.
It can replace one seventh of all Hungarian cheese imports. About 6500 tons of powdered whey is made from sweet whey every year.
In addition to Székesfehérvár the Alföldi Tej Kft. has already built a significant production capacity in Debrecen.
