The analysts expect imports to pick up
The domestic foreign trade surplus continues to be very high – according to analysts polled by MTI, who expect a picking up of import this year.
According to the first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) that was published on Monday, Hungary's foreign trade balance showed a surplus of 6.499 billion euros last year. Exports increased by 3.9, while import increased by 4.3 percent compared to the previous year. Despite the higher growth rate of imports, the export surplus only decreased by 56 million euros, compared to 2013. (MTI)
