The IMF has improved its global economic growth forecast for this year and next year
The IMF minimally upgraded the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) estimate for this year’s and next year’s growth in the Serial Update of the World Economic Outlook (WEO) publication, which was published on Tuesday.
According to this year, the organization expects a 3.6 percent average global economic growth, which is 0.1 percentage points higher than the forecast released in July.
Next year, the global economy may grow by 3.7 percent according to the latest estimate, which is also a 0.1 percentage point improvement, compared to the July data.
The global economy grew by 3.2 percent last year.
According to the IMF report, the pace of global economic growth that began last year in the second half of the year did not slow, but will continue next year, with the exception of the Middle East. (MTI)
