IKEA recalls IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL black garlic press
IKEA is asking all customers who have purchased the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL black garlic press to stop using the product and contact IKEA. The affected product is listed under the following article number: 201.521.58
Why is the product unsafe to use?
Due to a manufacturing defect identified following an internal investigation, which poses a risk of small metal fragments becoming detached during use and entering the body with food, IKEA is recalling IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL black garlic press with date stamps between 2411 (YYWW) and 2522 (YYWW) and supplier number 50013. The affected products can be identified by the IKEA logo on the top handle of the product, which looks like the image below:
If customers are unable to identify the product, they can still return the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL black garlic press they purchased and receive a refund.
What should customers do?
Customers who own the affected garlic press are asked to stop using the product and contact IKEA for a full refund. IKEA also asks customers to spread the word about the recall, especially if they know that the recalled product has been recommended, loaned or sold to someone else.
What are the remedies available to customers?
Affected products can be returned to any IKEA store, where customers will receive a full refund.
Proof of purchase with a receipt or invoice is not required.
