IKEA is recalling certain VARMFRONT portable chargers
IKEA is asking all customers who have a VARMFRONT 10400 mAh portable charger (model number: E2038) with a date stamp (YYYY) of 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319 or a VARMFRONT 5200 mAh portable charger (model number: E2037) with a date stamp of (YYYY) 2318, 2319 or 2322 to stop using it immediately and return it to any IKEA store where you will be refunded the purchase price of the product or receive a replacement product.
IKEA products are subjected to risk analysis and thorough testing to ensure that the company can withstand the test of everyday life at home and meet the requirements and regulations in force in the markets where IKEA is present.
Nevertheless, IKEA has become aware that some VARMFRONT portable chargers may pose a fire safety risk due to a manufacturing defect. This defect is limited to products with the aforementioned date stamps, therefore these VARMFRONT portable chargers are being recalled by the company. Customers with such products are asked by IKEA to stop using the portable chargers and return them to any IKEA store for a full refund or replacement.
VARMFRONT portable chargers with other date stamps are not affected by this recall.
