IKEA Hungary closed the 2023 financial year with an 11 percent increase in turnover
IKEA Hungary reported a retail turnover of HUF 145 billion in the 2023 fiscal year, which represents an 11 percent increase compared to the previous year. The three domestic stores welcomed a total of 8.1 million customers. IKEA is reducing its prices for nearly 1,200 products for the second time this fiscal year, and will continue its efforts to do so in the future. In 2024, the company will introduce the Kreativ design application, which, based on artificial intelligence and augmented reality, will make it easier to design interior spaces, as well as launch a number of new products. IKEA is making a significant investment in the domestic market until 2025: it will completely renovate its Soroksár store with unchanged opening hours for an even more comfortable customer experience.
“Another exceptional financial year is behind us, during which we continued to improve the customer experience on all our channels despite many challenges. In all three stores in Hungary, we launched the Szkenneld és Vedd service, which customers use more and more often, as it significantly speeds up shopping. We also opened our Design Studio in Pécs and Debrecen, thanks to which we got closer to our regional customers. In order to make it as widely available as possible, we will continue to work on reducing prices in the coming months and years, for which we are also looking for opportunities this year, as we did last year.”
– said David McCabe, CEO of IKEA Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
