The Ifo-index shows an improvement the global economic sentiment
The global economic sentiment index of the German IFO Institute for Economic Research improved further. The index of the second quarter rose to 104.1 points, from the former 99.5 points of the previous quarter.
In the first quarter, world economic barometer increaesd to its two year peak. The current situation perceptions index injcreased to 80.4 points, from the previous quarter’s 67.3 points. The index of the next half-year’s economic outlook decreased to 126.3 points, from the former 129.8 points. A year earlier, at the nadir of the worldwide economic crisis, it was 50.7 points – reports MTI.
