Weather destroyed Tesco's Christmas
Tesco Hungary has closed a rather unsuccesful Christmas-season, which naturally led to the decrease in revenue and stock exchange.
Supermarket giant Tesco today blamed weeks of snowy weather for only a small profit increase, compared to some competitors who posted healthy results.
For its Christmas trading performance it posted a modest 0.6 per cent like-for-like sales growth over the six weeks to January 8.
The store claimed the wintry weather had hindered customers traveling to its larger branches.
