This year, about 2.7 million hectoliters new wines were transported into the cellars, according to the pre-harvest estimates of the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) – the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told on Tuesday.
Gál Péter spoke about the previous year's harvest experiences at the National Assembly’s agriculture committee meeting. He said that situation is different at each wine region, but both the quantity and the quality is worse than expected, especially in areas where the natural conditions were very unfavorable, such as hailstorms devastated.
