Fish production may increase by 3-4 percent this year
Fish production may increase by 3-4 percent in Hungary from last year’s 22 thousand tonnes Lévai Ferenc, CEO of the Aranyponty Zrt. told on Monday to MTI.
The CEO said the increase in fish production is mainly due to the decline of feed prices and due to the favorable weather conditions. The experts added that the average fish consumption of the Hungarians is still much lower than the EU average, but in 10-12 years it can increase significantly an can reach up to 10 kilograms per capita.
