The number of visitors was around 100,000 this year at OMÉK
At the National Agricultural Exhibition and Fair (OMÉK), the number of visitors was around 100,000. A large number of young people also attended the event, and about 1000 exhibitors presented their products at the event – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel on Wednesday.
He added that 1500 people attended the professional day, that was held for the first time this year.
At this year’s fair, the Carpathian Basin’s food industry was introduced on a stand-alone booth, which, according to the minister, has attracted the interest of a number of trade chains.
On the meetings of the agricultural ministers of the Visegrád countries (V4) he told that they discussed, inter alia, the common agricultural policy and the dual quality of food. He noted that the export products of Hungarian agriculture are of the highest quality. (MTI)
