IBM fights queues
IBM has launched a self service cash register system under the name “Anyplace Checkout”. Customers use hand scanners to read bar codes when products are placed in the shopping cart and card readers for payment. Eliminating queues is a practical way of boosting customer loyalty and satisfaction.
