Exports expand faster than imports
In January-May 2011, the foreign trade volume of exports exceeded the previous year's level by 16, imports by 14 percent – reports the Central Statistical Office.
The trade balance surplus became 883 billion HUF (3281 million euros), 259 billion HUF (967 million euros) more than in the same period of 2010. The export value in the first five months was 8956 billion HUF (33 billion euros) and imports 8,073 billion HUF (30 billion euros). With these results both exports and imports value in forints exceeded the level before the global economic crisis before.
