Exim expects to lend to half of Hungarian exporting companies by 2021
In its medium-term strategy, Eximbank has set itself the goal of achieving half of the Hungarian export companies with its products by 2021, Urbán Zoltán, Chief Financial Officer said on Friday in Pécs.
On the last stop of the roadshow of the Hungarian Export Day, he said that with its products, Exim targets the small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) whose turnover exceeds 10 percent. According to their surveys, 10 to 12,000 such Hungarian SMEs are operating. Since 2015, Exim has doubled the number of its customers in the SME sector, which reaches 1200 by the end of the year. 17 percent of the Hungarian exports is provided by SMEs, employing 70 percent of employees – Urbán Zoltán added.
