Year's end shopping focus on hypermarkets
This year MP4 player and auto navigation set are the most popular christmas gifts.
According to Gfk researches in December consumer give 25% more for FMCG as in a normal month. Last year the Hungarian gave for food, drink and cosmetics HUF 249 billions. In 2004's christmas season the increase was 20%, two year before extra 24% and last year 25%. In 2006 the consumer intensity was the highest, 39% in the hypermarkets.
