European Parliament accepted CAP
During the interinstitutional negotiations, MEPs managed to make it compulsory for Member States to use at least 10% of direct payments to support small and medium-sized farms and at least 3% of the CAP budget to support young farmers. They also voted for the creation of a crisis reserve fund with an annual budget of 450 million euros at current prices, which will be available to farmers in the event of price fluctuations. (MTI)
