The GfK expects slow European retail sales growth
Europe's economy in 2013 was characterized by slowing trends – the latest study of GfK Geomarketing states.
On the basis of the research carried out in 28 countries of the European Union, it can be seen that both the GDP of the Member States, both the per capita purchasing power increased slightly in the researching period. Among the members Romania and the Baltic states showed the greatest improvement. The European retail sales could not keep up with the current trends, in 2013, a slight decline occurred in turnover, which may be followed by a slow growth in 2014.
