The European economy is expected to recover faster than expected
The European economy is expected to recover slightly faster than expected as economic activity exceeded expectations in the first quarter of the year and the lifting of restrictions on curbing the coronavirus pandemic accelerated in the second quarter.
Presenting the forecast of the EC, Economic Policy Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni said that according to the summer interim economic forecast, the economy of the European Union and the euro area will grow by 4.8 percent this year and by 4.5 percent in 2022. (MTI)
