European Payment Initiative acquires Dutch company iDeal
Dutch payment service iDeal has been acquired by the European Payments Initiative (EPI), a collaboration of European banks. iDeal’s technology provider Payconiq and the Belgian payment platform Bancontact have been taken over as well. EPI wants iDeal to form the basis of a Europe-wide payment system.
