According to data published on Thursday by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, in April retail sales in the euro area decreased by 0.5 percent, more than the 0.3 percent expected by analysts, and in the European Union it shrank by 0.6 percent compared to March, when in the euro area A traffic increase of 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent in the EU was registered compared to February.
