Despite a slight deterioration in manufacturing performance, the economic performance of the euro area has improved slightly in August.
The London-based IHS Markit’s Economic Research Institute announced on Thursday, that the euro area’s manufacturing industry Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) of August decreased to 54.6 points, from the 55.1 points of July. The market expected a slower slowdown, with 55 points expected for August. (MTI)
