Trade relations between Washington and the European Union can be restarted – Phil Hogan, European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner said in Washington, to reporters.
Phil Hogan said at a press conference that he had fruitful discussions with members of the US Congress and Government, including Steve Mnuchin, Secretary of Commerce and Wilbur Ross, and Robert Lighthizer, US Chief Commercial Officer.
“This was a good start to a resumption of our trade relations,” said the EU politician. However, he stated that “much remains to be done to improve relations significantly.” (Járai Judit, MTI)
