Water quality in EU bathing areas meets high standards
Water quality in the European Union’s bathing areas remains high, 95 percent compliant – the European Commission announced on Tuesday.
According to a survey by the European Environment Agency (EEA), 95 percent of bathing sites met the minimum water quality requirements in 2019, slightly less than the 95.4 percent in 2018. In addition to the 27 EU Member States, the survey was conducted in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Albania. (MTI)
