The EU would like to stabilize the higher milk prices
The past few months brought milk price increase globally. In Hungary, the national average producer price of raw milk was 88.65 HUF per kilo in December 2016.
The average price of raw milk increased by 6 percent in December compared to November, and was 13 percent higher than in the same month of the previous year’s average price. As the Agricultural Research Institute reports, the producers’ prices of fresh raw milk increased by 39 percent in New Zealand, while in the European Union by four percent in 2016 but in the US fell by three percent in November, compared to a year before.
