GDP growth in the EU and the euro area accelerated in the second quarter
GDP growth in the EU and the euro area accelerated in the second quarter on quarterly base – according to not definitive figures.
The European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, said that by the end of June, the eurozone’s seasonal adjusted GDP increased by 0.6 percent in the three months ended in June, while the European Union’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.7 percent, compared to the previous three months. In first quarter, the quarterly GDP growth was 0.5 percent in both areas. (MTI)
