The EU can impose 35 billion USD, if US automotive protective tariffs come into force
The European Union is ready to impose import duties on some 35 billion USD US products if the US imposes protective duties on imports of motor vehicles and auto parts – warned the European Commissioner for Trade.
“We will not accept any unfair trade, quotas or voluntary export restrictions. If customs duties are imposed, we will take action,” – Cecilia Malmström said at the meeting of the European Parliament’s competent committee in Brussels.
“We have already prepared a list in a value of about 35 billion euros. I hope we will not have to use it,” – she added. (Bajnok Artúr, MTI)
