Cooking oil producing highest price rise
The average rise in consumer prices was 0.3 per cent in April. Prices were 6.6 per cent higher than in April 2007. Food prices were up by 1.4 per cent in April compared to March. Cooking oil, pork salami, dry sausage, ham and margarine produced a higher than average price rise. Food prices were up by 12.7 per cent compared to April 2007. The price of cooking oil rose by 65.3 per cent in this period.
