Schneider Electric calls on Davos meeting participants to jointly develop energy technology
In order to develop energy technology, even closer and more effective cooperation between different industries is needed – this is the main message of the Schneider Electric delegation at the Davos meeting, led by the company’s CEO Olivier Blum. One of the world’s leading energy technology companies made several important announcements at this year’s World Economic Forum, including collaborations and another Paradigm Award.
“It’s clear that we’ve entered a new era where artificial intelligence (AI) and energy are inseparable, and together they are transforming every business. AI requires computing power, and computing requires energy. That’s why the world needs a higher level of energy intelligence. Regardless of industry, every customer faces the same challenge and the same opportunity: using energy efficiently. As an energy technology partner, we electrify, automate and digitize every industry, business and home, driving efficiency and sustainability for everyone. We don’t just connect systems, we create ecosystems where AI, data and people work together seamlessly. Let’s seize the opportunity at Davos to work together “We are advancing energy technology,”
said Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric.
The company made several announcements at this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos. Schneider Electric was recognized in both categories 1 and 2 of the WEF’s global MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable, Solutions) program, which promotes high-impact, practical artificial intelligence solutions. The award for the EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor and Snaplogic Touchscreen Room Controller solutions was received by Olivier Blum at the winners’ reception on January 20.
Schneider Electric factories have already won nine Exemplary Awards
The World Economic Forum’s global Exemplary Network brings together the world’s most advanced factories, and now Schneider Electric’s Wuhan factory has achieved another outstanding achievement. The facility became one of only three factories to receive the Exemplary Talent Recognition. With this award, newly introduced this year, Schneider Electric now boasts nine Exemplary Recognitions. The factory earned the honor by pioneering a future-focused, people-centric workforce model that bridges skills gaps and sets new standards in manufacturing flexibility.
Industry leaders together
Frédéric Godemel, Executive Vice President of Energy Management at Schneider Electric, is calling on global decision-makers and opinion leaders to join forces across industries on behalf of the Bloomberg New Economy Energy Technology Coalition. This will be the first major meeting of the Coalition, which aims to accelerate the adoption of technologies that support more efficient, flexible, and responsive energy consumption.
Making a difference for underserved communities
Schneider Electric and energy company EDP have jointly launched the “EDGE Transition” program, which aims to help businesses that offer clean, affordable energy solutions and inclusive economic opportunities to underserved communities.
