The number of guest nights in Romania increased by nearly ten percent
In the first two months, the number of overnight stays in Romania rose by 9.8 percent to 2.969 million, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced.
During the period under review, the number of guests arriving at commercial accommodations increased by 6.3 percent to 1.517 million.
The number of Romanian tourists increased by 9.6 percent to 1.242 million, while the number of guest nights they spend increased by 13 percent to 2,414 million. The number of foreign tourists decreased by 6.5 percent to 274,000, while the number of guest nights they spent dropped by almost 4 percent. (MTI)
