Romanian retail trade increased by 6.5 percent in the first half of the year
The volume of Romanian retail sales grew by 6.5 percent in the first half of the year, compared to the same period last year, according to the Romanian National Statistical Institute.
According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted value, growth was 7.5 percent.
Growth was mainly due to non-food sales, which grew by 7.4 percent, while food, beverages and tobacco sales grew by 7 percent, while fuel sales increased by 4.4 percent. (MTI)
