The Food Convoy helps the needy by donating 30 tons of donations
This year, 30 tons of food donations of 17 companies trucks were transported to the warehouses of the Hungarian Food Bank Association on Friday through downtown Budapest. Cseh Balázs chairman of the association told at the press conference that charity organizations will distribute the donations to the needy.
Cseh Balázs – after the trucks arrived at the Heroes' Square – said that about 12 thousand packages will be made from the food donations in a value of 20 million HUF that will be given to the needy even before the year-end holidays. The event is organized every year since 2005 – connected to the World Food Day on 16 October – now for the 11th time. (MTI)
