Production expanded in the food industry too
Compared with November 2009, industrial production rose by 15 percent in November 2010. Production was 11 percent higher in the first eleven months of 2010 than a year before. According to KSH, the driving force behind industrial production is still the performance of export-oriented companies: in the first eleven months industrial export expanded by 16 percent – and by 21 percent in November. In the examined period domestic sales of the processing industry were by 0.3 percent below the rate of 2009. Food, beverage and tobacco product manufacturing increased by 7.7 percent.
